I strive to provide excellence in medicine and aesthetic laser skin care in a caring, personal and professional manner. Procedure effectiveness and patient satisfaction are of utmost importance in my practice.
From a young age, I aspired to have a career helping others and making a difference in peoples’ lives. My practice of medicine meshes well with my passion for personally connecting with individuals and their families over the course of their lives to enhance the quality and quantity of their years.
During my medical education, I enjoyed all aspects of patient care, from pediatrics to geriatrics, surgery and OB/GYN. However, my favorite course electives were in dermatology and skin procedures. A practice that incorporates all aspects of medicine, including skin care, is a “perfect fit” for me!
As a family physician since 1989, I have been able to realize my dream of positively impacting the lives of others. In addition, since 2004, I have been performing the most advanced laser and aesthetic skin procedures available. My experience from participating in conferences and personal preceptorships has helped to keep me at the forefront of my field. As new products and procedures become available, I devote time and energy to incorporate these into my medical practice. This gives my patients the excellence of physician-performed aesthetic and skin laser procedures within the confidential and convenient setting of a medical office.
Many patients chose my practice because of my personal attention to detail, and my ability to discern their desire for natural-looking results. All patients value a woman’s perspective, as well as that of a woman physician, on enhancing their physical appearance. Further, we offer affordable procedures and products for any budget.
I was raised in Western Pennsylvania by my father, a steel worker, and mother, a secretary/homemaker. They instilled in me, at a very young age, the value of hard work, honesty, integrity and determination. As a result, I was valedictorian and graduation speaker of my high school. I attended Duke University and Penn State University, majoring in biochemistry and graduating with 4.0 average. I graduated from Penn State University’s College of Medicine in Hershey, Pa, and completed a full three-year residency in Family Medicine at Harrisburg Hospital. I am a board certified family physician and a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).
I married my high school sweetheart and we have two young adult children, working and independent – one in medicine and one in banking/ finance.
We enjoy our two poodles and free time for outdoor activities, athletics, fitness classes and church activities.
